About the role Vermeer Southeast is currently seeking an experienced Service Manager to organize and coordinate the operations of the service department by leading a team that provides exceptional customer experience and ensures successful selling of all available service hours. What you'll do People Leadership and Development Recruit, hire, and develop high-performing service team members. Plan staffing needs to ensure coverage for key positions. Coach, evaluate, and develop employees through ongoing performance management. Utilize available training programs to strengthen team capabilities. Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and accountable work environment. Customer Satisfaction Deliver professional, courteous, and timely customer service. Build and maintain strong customer relationships. Resolve customer concerns by recommending effective service solutions. Prepare and deliver accurate service quotes promptly. Assist with loading and unloading equipment as needed. Sales & Growth Lead service-related sales and customer outreach efforts. Grow the service customer base and increase customer retention. Drive utilization of available service hours to increase revenue. Department Management Analyze shop capacity, technician productivity, and customer demand. Schedule and coordinate service work to meet deadlines. Maintain knowledge of service bulletins, equipment updates, and best practices. Manage warranty claims and ensure proper dealership credit. Prepare weekly and monthly service reports. Maintain shop supplies, tools, and a safe, clean, secure facility. Enforce department safety standards and documentation. Qualifications Graduation from high school, GED equivalent, or equivalent in-service operations and labor selling at the management level. College degree a plus. One (1) year leadership experience with demonstrated communication and leadership skills. Previous Industry experience. Ability to clearly communicate as well as understand read and follow verbal and written instructions. Must be able to multi-task and be detailed orientated with demonstrated follow through and organizational skills.
