Our client, a distributor of mechanical equipment, is seeking a qualified Service Mechanic / Service Technican (Rotating Equipment) to join their growing team. This is a full-time, DIRECT HIRE role.
‍Schedule: Days

‍Qualifications:

• 5+ years of related work experience in mechanical roles
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Some electrical experience (asset); must be comfortable with and/or be willing to learn
• Clean driving record and able to drive and travel when needed
• Flexible to work in-shop and in the field
• Able to work a flexible schedule and be on-call
• Performs well on own and with others
• Solid customer service and people skills
• Safety-minded and focused
• Assets: Millwright experience and/or Refrigeration certificatio

• Repair, service, maintain and rebuild equipment (air compressors, vacuum pumps and positive displacement blowers) and related equipment
• Use diagnostic tools to inspect, test and provide maintenance/repair recommendations
• Complete work orders and provide professional and courteous service to customers
• Accurate documentation of parts and work performed
• Conduct work in a safe manner at all times
• Report equipment defects and issues to manager
• Other duties as required
