Anticipated Number of positions: 2 Anticipated Start Date: January 5, 2026 Posting Closing Date: November 23, 2025 Service Navigators work independently and collaboratively with clients, colleagues and other service providers in the community to offer integrated support to clients through real-time connection with services.   The Service Navigator works with clients directly to identify and set personalized life stability goals and develop a roadmap forward together. The Service Navigator will be the primary connection between clients and community service teams, including mental health support, housing assistance, food security programs, and additional wraparound employment supports. Rather than taking a directive role, the Service Navigator engages the client as a full partner in the process by fostering personal agency and encouraging the client to take ownership of their journey at a pace that feels manageable and respectful of their lived experiences.   Why Open Door Group? Your work will directly contribute to the social and economic well-being of the community.   What you bring to the position: Qualifications: * Completion of Social Services Diploma, or related education * Minimum two years of recent, related experience  * Class V Driver’s License and access to a reliable, personal vehicle. * Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training (can be acquired after hire)  * Certificates in CPR and First Aid * Naloxone Training * Training in Trauma-Informed and Motivational Interviewing Practices considered an asset. * Satisfactory Criminal Record Check for working with Vulnerable Populations Or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience Or other Qualifications determined to be reasonable and relevant to the level of work  Key Attributes for Success * Demonstrated commitment to Open Door Group mission, vision and values   * Ability to take initiative, solve problems and adapt to change * Knowledge of Disability, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) principles  * Understanding of the human rights code and relevant laws  * Knowledge of current social issues related to homelessness, mental health and substance use * Knowledge of harm reduction and psychosocial rehabilitation principles * Ability to promote positive change and independence * Conflict resolution and crisis intervention skills * Strong ethical and personal boundaries * Demonstrated knowledge of community resources Communication and Interpersonal Skills * Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.  * Ability to foster positive relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds, and with   * complex needs.
