Requirements The Service Order Dispatcher is responsible for receiving, recording, and distributing work and service orders related to the issue, delivery, and return of weapons, ammunition, and associated equipment between the armory and designated shooting ranges or venues. The Dispatcher coordinates directly with Armorers to ensure accurate documentation, timely scheduling, and compliance with all safety and accountability procedures. Responsibilities: Receive, log, and process service orders for weapons, ammunition, and equipment issued from the armory to shooting ranges/venues. Record request details, including name, location, type and quantity of weapons/ammunition, and services required. Prepare and issue work orders to Armorers, ensuring accuracy of instructions and alignment with training or operational requirements. Dispatch and relay instructions, updates, or changes to Armorers. Verify accountability of weapons and ammunition against service orders during issue, transport, and return. Maintain accurate logs, files, and reports of all service orders, dispatches, and completed transactions. Coordinate with Armorers, Ammo Techs, and range helpers to ensure smooth operations and accurate documentation. Assist in identifying inefficiencies in dispatch and service order processes and recommend improvements. Qualifications: Knowledge of dispatching procedures, work order systems, and recordkeeping. Familiarity with weapons and ammunition handling, safety, and accountability procedures (preferred). Strong organizational skills with a focus on accuracy and compliance. Effective communication skills for coordinating with Armorers, range staff, and supervisors. Ability to manage shifting priorities and adjust schedules to meet operational needs. Experience using communication equipment (radios, mobile phones, dispatch systems) to relay orders and updates. Compensation and Benefits: Competitive Pay, PTO, Health Benefits.
