SERVICE & PARTS ADVISOR / ADMINISTRATION OFFICER

We are a local diesel fuel injection specialist operating a mechanical workshop and a pump room currently seeking an experienced full-time Service & Parts Advisor / Administration Officer.
Our technicians have over 120 years’ worth of combined experience, meaning we are one of the leading diesel specialists in the Wide Bay area. We have a small team that has grown in recent years due to our in-demand services. We operate from Monday to Friday (no weekend work) from 8am until 5pm except Fridays when we close at 3pm.
This position is conditional to a 6-month probation period upon which the applicant will be reviewed.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Attention to detail is essential in this role
  • Previous experience in the automotive industry is required, preferably diesel specific
  • Customer service & invoicing experience is preferred
  • Superior organisational skills as you will assist with organising other departments as well as yourself
  • Ability to multitask and good time management skills
  • Current drivers licence (manual preferred)
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office and general computer skills
Responsibilities
  • Attending to front counter, phone & email enquiries.
  • Liaising with customers through booking processes, confirming accuracy of customer details
  • Determining estimates of repair and ensuring thorough communication with customers at every stage of the repair
  • Parts interpreting, looking up specific parts from VIN, fulfilling customer orders
  • Maintaining stock levels, ensuring parts availability for booked and ongoing jobs.
  • Managing administrative tasks including supplier invoices, stocktake and customer accounts.
  • Assisting with workflow planning, maintaining efficiency between departments
  • Packing/sending orders for freight collection
  • General cleaning/maintenance of office areas, maintaining organisation with filing systems
