OVERVIEW

Commercial Truck Equipment is looking to add an experienced full-time permanent Service Parts Coordinator to our Regina, SK team.
Our Service Parts Coordinator takes care of service and production parts requirements and keeps the business on-track in a variety of important ways, ensuring the right things are in the right place at the right time. Parts Coordinators that have been successful for us in the past have a high attention to detail, care deeply about doing things the right way, and have a drive to solve problems for the service and production teams, and for the business. For this role, we need someone that has solid experience in the parts world from our industry, or an adjacent one, such as aerospace, aviation, passenger vehicles, heavy industry, oilfield support, recreational vehicles, manufacturing, agriculture etc. The successful candidate will have five or more years of progressive experience in parts and parts sourcing roles throughout their career.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

The successful applicant will have a mix of the following qualifications and experience. Commercial is looking for someone who has the experience to make a smooth transition into this position and hit the ground running:

  • Five or more years of experience in parts administration
  • Valid Class-5 driver’s license is mandatory, licensure above Class 5 is considered an asset. Driver’s Abstract will be a required condition of employment
  • Strong computer skills including Office 365 and Excel, in particular, are required
  • Knowledge of the truck or heavy equipment industry would be beneficial
  • Past experience in the truck equipment industry considered a very valuable asset
  • Commitment to providing outstanding internal/external customer service
  • Ability to work both individually as well as in a team environment
  • Able to manage multiple tasks in a rapidly changing environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Strong attention to safety, detail, and accuracy
  • Ability to lift boxes weighing up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities
  • Discusses and reviews all open work order parts requirements with Service and Production Managers, and confirms parts/materials required on a daily basis
  • Orders approved parts and materials for all scheduled open work orders. Advises Service and Production Manager on all order lead times, issues or substitutions
  • Coordinates the parts and material flow for all scheduled service and production work orders
  • Issues parts and material for each work order to the service technician assigned to the work order, or to the Service Manager or Production Manager
  • On a daily basis, records all parts and materials used by the service technicians for invoicing purposes. Ensures constant communication of recorded parts with the Service and Production Managers
  • Confirms to Service or Production Manager all parts information on work order is accurate and complete within one business day of the work order being completed
  • Develops cooperation with Outside Sales Personnel and their job scheduling to profitably meet customer needs.
  • Manages shop inventory (fluids and lubricants, welding gases, fasteners etc.) to ensure an adequate supply is always available.
  • Communicates with suppliers to ascertain quality and costs and completes the required purchase orders.
  • Purchases shop inventory materials on behalf of Commercial Truck Equipment Co and enters the materials into inventory.
  • Schedules parts/materials orders to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
  • For non-inventoried parts/material, communicates with suppliers to obtain best pricing, obtains part on Commercial Truck Equipment Co’s behalf, and enters the part/material into inventory using the Inventory Management System using the correct product code.
  • For non-inventoried parts/material, applies pre-established mark-ups.
