Job Summary The Service Parts Material Planner will take primary responsibility for the USA market service parts stocking strategy. The successful candidate will work together with local technical and local commercial teams to improve and maintain the parts stocking plan meeting United Imaging’s commitments to delivering top quality service to our customers. The position will report to the Logistics Manager. Key Responsibilities Work with the local Technical Support Team, local Commercial Team, HQ Business Unit Engineers and the HQ Spare Parts group to develop Service Parts Stocking Plans (supporting our customer service strategy) for the US market and support LATAM region as needed Work effectively cross-functionally to continuously update the service parts stocking plan due to impacts from engineering changes, install base updates, inventory levels & supply chain logistics. Analyze changing material demand patterns and plan material acquisition & replenishment to attain required customer fill-rates. Proactively investigate and drive actions to address gaps Identify and implement inventory reduction opportunities Develop and implement transition of part planning process from excel to more sophisticated tools. Ensure that current processes are properly documented, audited, and followed, and that the data within the processes are properly maintained. Drive improvements in the service parts planning and procurement processes – reduce cycle times. Develop and manage the service parts change processes related to newly released service parts. Investigate and resolve interchangeability/compatibility of existing service parts concurrent with the release of new service parts and new system HW/SW revisions into the installed base Maintain service parts inventory optimized scorecard monthly and have action plans to achieve the target levels of performance. Establish a regular and routine management reporting process that includes service parts forecasts and status, service parts material deliveries, discrepant service parts inventory processing Ongoing and periodic maintenance of service parts master data Manage spare parts returns process in collaboration with field team and HQ Spare parts team to maintain a constant flow of parts in accordance to QMS regulations Requirements Education Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Supply Chain Management & Logistics, Business Administration/Analytics, Production/Operations Management, or other related degree. Experience Proficiency with using Excel spreadsheets and work-related IT software / ERP / CRM solutions to the fullest capabilities. At least 6 years of Experience in Service / Operations, materials management, production planning, service/spare parts, and procurement Required Skills or/ Attributes Medical device background Willingness to work in a strong cross functional environment reliant on daily collaboration with internal and external teams Team player, enjoys working with people and committed to providing excellent customer satisfaction Detail oriented and high-level analytical ability where problems are unusual and complex Strong data and analytical skills and track record for effectively planning/managing large number of SKUs across multiple FSLs. Resourceful with a passion for speed, agility, simplification and proactive action. Strong sense of urgency and desire to grow the service parts organization. Ability to handle multiple tasks with an awareness of deadlines and responsiveness.
