Skillforce is seeking skilled Licensed Commercial Plumber for service and maintenance work on university facilities in the Charlottesville, VA area. This is a full-time, field-based opportunity supporting a campus maintenance department with day-to-day plumbing repairs, installations, and preventive maintenance. You will work on occupied school buildings, so safety, professionalism, and communication with staff and students are essential. Pay and Schedule: * Pay: up to 35 per hour, depending on experience and license level * Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm * Occasional overtime may be requested based on campus needs Licensed Plumber Key Responsibilities: * Perform service, maintenance, and repair work on commercial plumbing systems across multiple occupied buildings * Install, repair, and replace copper pipe, PVC, CPVC, and related plumbing materials * Troubleshoot plumbing issues including fixture malfunctions, leaks, drain blockages, and water distribution problems * Install and repair plumbing fixtures including sinks, toilets, water fountains, and related equipment * Maintain compliance with the International Plumbing Code (IPC) and Virginia Uniform Statewide Building Code (USBC) * Complete work orders and communicate status with the on-site facilities maintenance team * Follow all OSHA safety protocols and site-specific safety requirements * Assist with general facilities maintenance tasks as needed to support the team LICENSED PLUMBER REQUIREMENTS: * Active Virginia DPOR Journeyman or Master Plumber license * 3+ years of recent commercial or institutional plumbing service and repair experience * Proficiency with copper, PVC, and CPVC pipe systems * Experience working in occupied commercial or institutional buildings * Valid Virginia driver's license * Ability to work legally in the United States and pass any job-related background or drug screening consistent with applicable laws BENEFITS: * Competitive wages based on experience * Health, dental, and vision insurance. * 401(k) with company match. * Paid time off and holidays. * Opportunities for advancement and continued training.
