Asda’s Technology Strategy & Architecture function is looking for a Service Solution Architect to join our Architecture Team. You’ll be working within an established architecture function, embedded into our Service and ServiceNow team, accountable for Service Solutions and ServiceNow platform architecture.
Successful candidates will report to a Senior Solutions Architect Manager, aligning and working closely to the Integration and Engineering Enterprise Architect for Technical Leadership and into the ServiceNow product team, whilst being authoritative leaders and trusted advisors of architectural design and process.

Responsibilities
  • Supporting the design and evolution of Asda’s enterprise observability solutions including Application Performance Monitoring, Best Practice Logging, Monitoring and Alerting, Enterprise Dashboarding,
  • Defining, incident management processes from a technical perspective - tooling, integrations and automation, including evolving the current solution design for ServiceNow
  • Supporting definition of reliability goals—SLI (Service Level Indicators), SLO (Service Level Objectives), and error budgets, and defining the technical solutions to support their measurement
  • Supporting Business-Critical Systems Design with a focus on fit for purpose reliability, supportability, and risk reduction.
  • Supporting design of capacity planning capabilities for engineering and data teams
  • Supporting change and release management engineering design, including CI/CD, tooling, integrations and automation.
  • Work alongside the Integration and Engineering Enterprise Architect to develop and maintain Service and ServiceNow strategies, and roadmap.
  • You’ll allocate 10% of your time dedicated towards Learning & Development activities aligned to your Personal Development Plan
