Description

We are seeking a Shop Service Specialist to join our team on a contract basis, with the potential to transition into a full-time position. In this role, you will assemble, pressure test, refurbish, and operate subsea systems and equipment in line with established manufacturing and operational practices. While primarily workshop-based, the position will also include occasional offshore field service assignments on rigs, platforms, and intervention vessels. The initial term is one year.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Diploma in Mechanical or Petroleum Engineering Technology or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of hydraulic and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and hydraulic schematics.
  • Strong computer skills, including standard office software.
  • Willingness and ability to travel offshore and internationally, sometimes on short notice.
  • Fluent in English with strong written and verbal technical communication skills.
  • Ability to complete Basic Safety Training, including underwater emergency escape and breathing apparatus use.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in:
  • Offshore oil and gas operations.
  • Hydraulic and mechanical equipment.
  • Interpretation and implementation of hydraulic/mechanical drawings.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out work orders, including site acceptance testing, pre-deployment pressure testing, returned goods refurbishment, and post-mobilization activities.
  • Maintain and service subsea equipment.
  • Prepare, inspect, and maintain equipment and tooling in the workshop.
  • Support offshore and onshore mobilization/demobilization and testing of subsea equipment.
  • Maintain hydraulic test equipment and manage spare parts inventory.
  • Safely operate hand, electric, pneumatic, and hydraulic tools, as well as lifting equipment and overhead cranes.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours support.
