Responsibilities

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL HAVE:

  • Relevant Diesel or Mobile Plant Mechanic trade qualifications
  • Previous experience in a Supervisory Role with front line operational staff, with an understanding labour recovery principles
  • Working knowledge of planning and scheduling with the ability to deliver in tight time frames
  • Demonstrated background experience with Hitachi mobile equipment will be highly regarded
  • Good communication and customer service skills and the ability to build long term relationships
  • Safety focus and abide by site safety processes

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Supervisor - Pilbara Support Team to join our team based in Perth (Forrestdale). Working Monday to Friday, this permanent role will allow you to access OEM training while you build a long term career in a global company. Reporting to the Pilbara Support Coordinator, you will work as part of a team and drive the reliability and availability of the mobile fleet across the region, while keeping an impeccable safety record. You will also:

  • Partake in the coordination and supervision of the implementation of Hitachi projects, shut downs, planned maintenance and day to day activities of Hitachi Pilbara Support Technicians
  • Provide customer service, dealing with Superintendent level (and others) requesting service assistance and schedule labour, arrange subcontractors, parts and assist with job package assembly accordingly
  • Provide Supervision for onsite shuts / projects / annual leave and workshop supervision as required
  • Support and coordination of tooling, parts and consumables for projects and site requirements
  • Implement job package assembly and ensure all relevant pre work checks, paperwork and assessments are in place and completed before, during and after the job
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to improve, performance, equipment reliability and lower maintenance cost
