The Survivor Experiences Service provides a safe, trauma‑informed and culturally responsive space for Survivors of abuse in state and faith‑based care to share their experiences and access support. Since launching in 2023, the Service has played a crucial role in facilitating healing, supporting Survivors to locate personal records, and building trusted relationships with Māori, Pacific Peoples, disabled people, and Deaf communities across Aotearoa. From July 2025, our focus is on strengthening enduring partnerships and ensuring our core services continue to meet Survivor needs — guided by listening, care, and collaboration. Our work is grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and the spirit of service to our communities. The role | Te tūnga    We’re looking for a highly organised and professional Service Support Assistant to provide dependable and confidential executive and administrative support to the Executive Director, Leadership Team, and Board of the Survivor Experiences Service. Based in Wellington, this role is central to keeping the Service running smoothly — managing diaries and meetings, supporting Board operations, preparing high‑quality documentation, and overseeing financial and administrative processes. You’ll be a trusted partner who anticipates needs, manages competing priorities with confidence, and enables leaders to focus on delivering impactful outcomes for Survivors. This is a busy, varied role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, values teamwork, and takes pride in delivering high‑quality support.
