Description
The Service Technician installs, maintains, and repairs heating and cooling systems. Success in  this role is demonstrated by accurate diagnostics, timely and professional service, and clear  communication with both customers and office staff. As a representative of Atlantic Fuels, the  driver helps uphold the company's reputation for professionalism, reliability, and service. This  position contributes to the growth of the division by providing excellent service, and identifying  upgrade opportunities and ensuring consistent preventative maintenance. Responsibilities and Duties: •  Install, service, and repair NC units and oil or gas heating systems in residential and light  commercial settings. •  Perform gas checks and provide service for propane systems. •  Complete scheduled system cleanings thoroughly and efficiently. •  Communicate clearly with customers, providing updates and recommendations as needed. •  Coordinate with manager and office staff regarding changes in scheduled maintenance or  unexpected issues. •  Assist with promoting and selling cleanings, equipment upgrades, and new installations during  service visits. •  Maintain and track inventory in assigned service vehicle. •  Submit purchase orders and order supplies from supply houses as needed. •  Accurately document work performed and submit required reports in a timely manner. •  Follow all safety protocols and ensure compliance with company and industry standards. •  Respond to emergency service calls, including system failures, boiler breakdowns, and urgent  heating or cooling issues. •  Participate in the on-call rotation as assigned. •  Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: •  2+ years of relevant service or HVAC experience. •  NH Gas Fitter license •  Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills. •  Independent, self-driven work ethic with strong time management skills. •  Effective communication skills with both co-workers and customers. •  Physical ability to work in tight spaces, climb ladders, kneel, crouch, and lift/move 50-75 lbs. •  Participation in the on-call rotation. Physical requirements: o Frequent walking, standing, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and climbing. o  Frequent use of hands and arms to reach, feel, handle, or pull. o  Ability to work in tight spaces o  Ability to lift/move 50-751b objects Preferred: o  DOT Medical Card, or willingness to obtain. o  CDL with Tank and Haz-Mat endorsement, or willingness to obtain. o  NORA Silver Oil Heat Technician Certificate. o NH Voluntary Heating Technician Certification. o A/C experience or certifications.
