Together, we pursue a shared mission to create a more sustainable future. Job Description The Asset Care Service Technician will install and service water purification systems at customer sites. In this role, you will deliver, set up and exchange ion exchange tanks to customers in commercial and industrial applications. Key Characteristics Initiative Customer Focus Accountable Duties & Responsibilities Drive truck to deliver ion exchange tanks and water treatment equipment to customer sites Ensure that the correct equipment required for the daily route is loaded, secured, and meets quality specifications Load and unload ion exchange tanks on trucks and maintain correct inventory onboard trucks as required Complete Vehicle Inspection Reports for pre-trip inspection Document and accurately account of inventory at each customer site and make changes as needed Communicate changes through proper channels and follow-up to ensure that changes have been made Take water samples and conduct the water quality tests including, but not limited to, TDS, resistivity, pH, CO2, Cl2, and hardness. Accurately record results and make suggestions or changes as required Rinse ion exchange tanks to customer specifications at customer sites and ensure quality specifications are met Perform both dry and wet ion exchange tank exchanges Perform maintenance on equipment including PVC piping repairs, electrical and instrumentation components, and minor pump and motor repairs Maintain good housekeeping at all times which includes service vehicles and equipment at customer sites Follow WTS and customer EHS policies, rules, and procedures Maintain contact with customers on site, communicating effectively, politely, and responding to customer needs to maintain good customer relationships Assist with equipment or product delivery outside the normal scope when needed due to business needs Required to be on call during non-business hours Other duties as assigned Qualifications Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Preferred: Knowledge of ion exchange and membrane theory and operation as well as pretreatment applications Knowledge of commercial and industrial membrane and UV systems operation and repair Knowledge of instrumentation and controls Vocational training in applicable fields such as electrical, industrial/mechanical, maintenance, or water treatment Ability to troubleshoot and correct issues pertaining to equipment in the field Required: HS Diploma, GED or equivalent. Possess a valid driver's license & clean driving record history Preferred: Experience driving company vehicles such as panel vans or service trucks Forklift certification/experience or ability to obtain forklift certification Classroom coursework in chemistry Experience in Food and Beverage Industry or similar Experience in Microelectronics Industry or similar Associate degree or vocational training in electrical, industrial/mechanical, maintenance, engineering, or water treatment disciplines Working Conditions: Ability and willingness to handle repetitive weight - 50 lbs Ability to use hand truck and pallet jacks to move heavier loads Ability and willingness to work in all weather conditions Ability and willingness to work in range of environments including but not limited to industrial, manufacturing, food and beverage, and power industry facilities Additional Information At Veolia, we realize diverse teams make smarter decisions, deliver better results, and build stronger communities.
