POSITION OVERVIEW

POWERGROUP Resources on behalf of our client Cayuga Displays Inc. is seeking a skilled Service Technician to join our dynamic team in building temperature-controlled products. The successful candidate will have strong customer-service skills and will be responsible for assisting with the technical support related to the service, parts, and warranty related issues

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:

  • Preference given to those with technical experience in dealing with temperature-controlled equipment or in a related field. On-the-job training will be provided.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills
  • Valid G driver’s license
  • Willing to travel when needed to provide service support
  • Reliable transportation for travel to customers
  • Strong communication skills – verbal and written.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Be able to prioritize and manage time efficiently.
  • Work well with a team.
  • Knowledge and ability to use Microsoft 365 programs (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook).
  • Available to work during Cayuga Displays’ standard business hours: Monday-Thursday: 7:30am – 5:00pm, Friday: 7:30 – 11:30am
  • Available for bi-weekly on-call hours on Fridays between 11:30am – 5:00pm

Responsibilities
  • Participate in daily in-person operational meetings with the Service Co-Ordinator to review open service items and required action steps
  • Provide technical expertise and other required information to support the Service Coordinator for open service inquiries and parts orders.
  • At the direction of the Service Co-Ordinator, respond to service-related inquiries from external customers and internal team members within the timelines discussed as per the priority scale given.
  • Provide status updates as items are addressed and issues are resolved. This involves continual communication with both the Service Coordinator and internal team members.
  • Follow-up with external contacts as issues are resolved to ensure customer satisfaction with resolutions provided.
  • Assist with the processing, fulfillment, and shipping of parts orders.
  • Where required, work with the Engineering, Procurement, and Production Departments to obtain technical and other advice for resolutions to service issues.
  • Assist with dispatching external service companies to manage warranty, installation and repair work.
  • Provide after-sales support to customers, following up on orders that have shipped to ensure customer satisfaction and provide service support where needed.
  • Help ensure technical resources (owner’s manuals, warranty information, etc.) remain up-to-date and assist in the continual creation of new resources to support customers and external service providers (reports, videos, etc.).
  • Work to maintain and enhance the network of external service providers.
  • Travel to provide service support to local customers may be required. This would be planned and arranged with the Service Coordinator and management.

    Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
