Sandvik Mining Service Technician – Components; Pooraka I SA About the opportunity We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified local Service Technician to join the Pooraka branch. In the role you will be required to perform high quality assessments and repairs of various Sandvik components and complete general workshop duties as required. Working within our Components Centre of Excellence – previous experience working on transmissions, converters, upboxes/ dropboxes and axles is required. To support you, we offer comprehensive product training to keep you at the top of your game, along with dedicated support from our expert product support personnel. We’re looking for a proactive and skilled professional to carry out efficient diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on our cutting-edge mobile equipment used in the mining and construction industries. Roster: Monday – Friday roster Machinery worked on: Individual components from Sandvik machines, loaders, trucks and drills. Responsibilities Take charge of mechanical duties, performing maintenance, repairs, and fault diagnosis on all Sandvik Mining equipment. Execute mechanical maintenance tasks according to plans, ensuring equipment integrity and safe operation at all times. Drive efficiency by providing insightful feedback for maintenance planning improvements. Keep meticulous records of parts usage, equipment monitoring, and time logs. Champion safety by adhering to all policies and procedures, especially Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policies. About you We are looking for a workshop-based technician with an Australian recognized Mechanical Trade Certification. Your demonstrated experience with trucks, loaders, and drilling mobile mining equipment will be a distinct advantage. You should have a strong and proven safety culture, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a strong customer service focus. Your motivation and determination to achieve targets and goals, along with a proactive, self-motivated attitude and the ability to take initiative, are essential. Basic computer literacy and a Class C Manual Driver’s License are required Agencies need not apply. To be eligible for this role, you must have the right to live and work in Australia.
