POSITION SUMMARY: REPAIR TECHNICIAN

SmartWheel Canada is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Repair Technician. In this role, you’ll be responsible for troubleshooting and fixing various electric mobility devices, helping us maintain high service standards for our customers.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Educational background in electronics, electrical, or mechanical fields, or a minimum of 3 years of relevant repair experience
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and service responsibilities efficiently
  • WHMIS or similar safety certification required
  • Physically able to lift and move equipment weighing 50 lbs or more
  • Previous experience with electric scooters, e-bikes, or similar products is a plus
    Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed

Responsibilities
  • Perform Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDIs) to ensure products are in excellent working order before delivery
  • Offer technical assistance via phone, email, or in person to help customers with basic troubleshooting
  • Respond to customer inquiries in a clear, courteous, and professional manner
  • Diagnose technical issues using knowledge of error codes and product-related apps/software
  • Demonstrate product features and provide basic user training to customers
  • Build in-depth knowledge of our products and specifications to support repairs and warranty claims
  • Assist with daily store operations as required
  • Track and manage repair-related parts and inventory accurately
  • Identify and replace faulty components (training will be provided)
  • Replace tires and inner tubes on various electric scooter models
  • Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe
