REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • 3+ years electrical/solar service experience preferred
  • 1+ years commercial experience preferred
  • Possess and maintain a valid and clean driver’s license
  • Willingness to work overtime
  • Must be able to work on a roof
  • Must be able to lift to 100 pounds
  • Ideal candidate would be highly motivated
    Compensation: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour

Responsibilities

ROLE: SOLAR SERVICE TECHNICIAN

Position Overview: We are looking for a talented, reliable, hardworking solar technician to join our service team for residential and commercial solar, focusing mostly on removal & re-install, commercial panel cleaning with robot cleaner, troubleshooting, swapping out microinverters etc. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of electrical/solar experience with outstanding customer service and communication skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and/or install electrical solar components in a residential/commercial environment.
  • Solar panel removal and reinstall
  • Solar panel Robot cleaning, in a commercial setting
  • Inverter repair, removal, and reinstall
  • Assist customers with internet connectivity issues on their monitoring systems
  • Effectively communicate with manufacturer technical support to troubleshoot specific issues.
  • Perform required testing, record measurements if needed.
  • Take pictures of all equipment for uploading and job closeout.
  • Record all equipment serial numbers.
  • Completing daily logs and tasks, communicating job status with team through CRM.
  • Responsible for failure investigations and providing solutions.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Maintain a clean, organized company vehicle
  • Provide excellent customer service and communication with managers
  • Travel to job sites in service area
  • Work with dispatcher to ensure schedule is maintained and delays are properly communicated to customer
  • Regularly working on roofs and inside attics.
  • Being able to climb up and down a ladder and easily maneuver tall/steep roofs
  • Communicating effectively with customers and understanding their needs/requests
  • Ensure work is performed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Create and submit weekly reports to the Manager.
