Description Service Technician- Hydro Testing Job Description Summary As a Hydro Service Technician, you will specialize in inspecting, testing, and maintaining 3M/Scott Safety SCBA (Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus) equipment used by firefighters and emergency responders. This role will conduct thorough inspections, identify any issues or defects, and ensure the integrity and safety of 3M/Scott Safety SCBA equipment through hydrostatic testing. Roles and Responsibilities Inspect 3M/Scott Safety SCBA equipment visually to identify visible signs of wear, damage, or degradation. Assist in the assembly and disassembly of 3M/Scott Safety SCBA equipment Ensure that equipment follows safety and regulatory standards. Perform hydrostatic testing on 3M/Scott Safety SCBA equipment to ensure they can withstand the required pressure levels without failure. Conduct flow tests to verify that the 3M/Scott Safety SCBA equipment delivers consistent airflow. Adjust or repair components to ensure proper flow rates. Monitor and assess pressure test results to confirm the integrity and safety of the 3M/Scott Safety SCBA equipment. Repair or replace damaged or worn components. Maintain accurate records of all testing activities. Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that arise during testing Provide exceptional customer service to customers by addressing their concerns or questions Maintain a clean and organized work area Requirements Required Qualifications Proficient computer skills Valid driver's license and clean driving record High School diploma or GED equivalent Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in hydrostatic testing or related field is preferred Familiarity with 3M/Scott Safety SCBA equipment is a plus, but we will train! Desired Characteristics Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately Excellent problem-solving skills to troubleshoot technical issues Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Good communication skills to interact with clients professionally and effectively Physical Requirements Able to lift heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs.) and stand for long periods Manual dexterity to work with small parts #TAC123
