Description Summary/Objective: As a Service Technician/Laborer, you will be responsible for performing oil changes and other basic fleet maintenance services. Our fleet includes semi-trucks as well as half-ton pickups. You will also perform Laborer responsibilities as needed by assisting Hydrovac Operators and other crew members with a variety of manual labor-related tasks including, setting up and operating hydrovac equipment, digging & excavating, pre- and post-trip inspections, and maintaining an orderly and safe job site. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: Full-time. Available to work overtime and weekends when necessary. Duties & Responsibilities: Perform oil changes, tire rotations, and other basic vehicle maintenance services Complete work orders online for all services and repairs Inspect and diagnose vehicles for additional services that may be required Maintain a clean and safe working environment Notifies and/or coordinates additional repairs with the Fleet Manager Operate and care for construction equipment and machines Prep construction sites, ensuring they're obstacle-free and hazard-free Perform manual labor tasks like digging, excavating, and site cleanup Load and unload construction materials with safety and precision Ensure the job site is clean and safe every step of the way Perform other duties as assigned by management Requirements & Preferences: Must pass a pre-employment background check Must pass a pre-employment drug screen Minimum of 2 years' experience in heavy-duty construction, Hydrovac, Vacuum Truck equipment and Fleet repair experience Must have an approved MVR to drive a company vehicle - Class A or Class B preferred but not required (Must be able to attain a CDL) Competency (KSAs): Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to work in a team environment Must possess and exhibit a strong safety acumen Exceptional organization and time management skills Strong work ethic and self-motivated to produce quality work under tight deadlines in a safe and professional manner Must be comfortable with computers and have knowledge of computer-based maintenance programs Must provide own hand tools (negotiable) Must be able to work 10-12+ hour days including some weekends when needed Willingness to learn and use emerging technology Work Environment (temperature, noise level, inside/outside): Must be able to work in all weather conditions and noisy environments Physical Demands: Must be able to repetitively sit, lift, stoop, bend, squat, kneel, reach and crawl Must be able to repeatedly lift a minimum of 50 pounds
