WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

Knowledge and understanding of load capacities, limitations, mechanical systems, including their operation and interaction, measurement, and calibration are essential for this position. We are looking for reliable individual who take ownership of tasks and possess a basic understanding of safe rigging and lifting techniques. You demonstrate communication and interpersonal skills, and you are proficient in the safe and effective use of hand and power tools. You have the ability to work as part of a team and to perform tasks accurately with meticulous record keeping.

Ideally you have

  • Technical NVQ apprenticeship or equivalent engineering qualification
  • Experience as an apprentice or trainee in an engineering role is an asset
  • Understanding of hydraulic and electrical systems is an advantage
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams
  • Competence in identifying and troubleshooting equipment issues
  • Eagerness to learn and openness to feedback from senior technicians
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various condition
Responsibilities
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures
  • Learn to use and practice safe rigging and lifting techniques
  • Actively participate in safety meetings, training programs and on-the-job learning, including studying technical manuals and schematics
  • Acquire the ability to operate and maintain specialized tools and equipment
  • Assist with inventory control of parts and supplies, and maintain clean and organized work area
