Description

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Service Technician to join our team in Dublin.
Responsibilities:
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing, facility, and utility equipment in alignment with GMP standards, safety procedures, and internal SOPs.
Troubleshoot and repair fill-finish and packaging machinery, ensuring minimal disruption to production.
Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives to increase equipment reliability and process efficiency.
Collaborate closely with production and quality teams to support operational goals and ensure consistent compliance.
Manage maintenance schedules and support planning to reduce downtime while accommodating production demands.
Train production staff on equipment operation and setup, ensuring knowledge transfer and operational consistency.
Oversee and coordinate external vendors and contractors, ensuring all work is performed to GMP standards.
Lead or contribute to root cause analysis for equipment failures and implement lasting corrective actions.
Ensure compliance of electrical, mechanical, and utility systems through effective maintenance and calibration activities.
Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities using the company’s quality or CMMS systems.
Support equipment commissioning, installation, and validation, including documentation and handover processes.
Actively engage in maintaining a safe work environment, adhering to site safety protocols and supporting investigations when required.
Assist in the management of critical spare parts and consumables to ensure cost-effective maintenance practices.
Candidate Profile:
Recognised qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronic Engineering, or a completed time-served apprenticeship.
Minimum 3 years of experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (ideally GMP/pharmaceutical).
Solid knowledge of equipment maintenance, reliability engineering, and compliance in a pharmaceutical setting.
Familiarity with permit-to-work systems, safety controls, and maintenance procedures in high-compliance industries.
Experience with root cause analysis, technical troubleshooting, and reliability improvements.
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
Proficiency with maintenance and calibration documentation systems.
