Full job description

Responsibilities

• Assess the needs of the clients on a regular basis to find what help or resources they need including and not limited to parts and information about the equipment
• Provide trouble shooting support as needed and solve problem to related equipment for clients in need
• Issue service request via SMI intranet
• Assist in minor capital works and new machine installation
• Travel to clients sites as required to service equipment and repairs, the travel might involve flying interstate and not limited to New Zealand
• Be completed with hand and power tools
• Be able to provide training to customers of equipment
• Services and repairs of packaging equipment
• Familiar with all end of line equipment
• Prepare service documentation such as SWIMs, JSA, permit to work
• Experience in filling equipment for the beverage industry and not limited to dairy
• Review yearly service requirements and spare parts
• Promote servicing across all clients

Qualifications

• Trade or previous technician roles
• Be able to read machine drawings, parts drawings and manual
• Proficient in MS Word and document writing for service reporting, emails and general documentation
• Good understanding of MS Excel for data collection and costing
• Excellent customer service and problem solving
• Good time management
• The ability to work well under deadlines and to multitask
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Pay: $83,200.00 per year

Education:

• Diploma (Preferred)

Experience:

• Service technician: 3 years (Required)
• Programmable logic controllers: 3 years (Preferred)
• Electrical systems: 1 year (Preferred)

Language:

• English (Required)

Licence/Certification:

• Full Driver Licence (Required)
• White Card (Preferred)

Work Authorisation:

• Australia (Required)

Willingness to travel:

• 100% (Required)
