JOB DESCRIPTION

The Service Technician (Plumbing/Heating Specialist) at DMS Service Ltd. will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and troubleshooting plumbing and heating systems at various sites in the Metro Vancouver area. The technician will ensure that all systems are operating efficiently and in compliance with industry standards and regulations. This role involves diagnosing and repairing equipment, performing routine maintenance, and collaborating with teams to meet client specifications. Based in our Burnaby, BC office, this full-time position requires travel to sites Monday to Friday.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience in Plumbing and Heating
  • Red Seal/Licenses
  • Valid Driver’s License with a Clean Driver’s Abstract.
Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair plumbing and heating systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing and heating issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Ensure all work complies with safety standards and our safety team, building codes, and relevant regulations.
  • Provide excellent customer service, addressing client concerns and explaining technical issues in an understandable and professional manner.
  • Keep accurate records of services performed, including FLRA’s, maintenance logs and service reports.
  • Work closely with Service team to meet client specifications and deadlines.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in plumbing and heating.
  • Respond to emergency service calls as needed, providing prompt and efficient solutions.
