WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

We are seeking a dedicated Service Technician to join our team in Moncton, NB, providing exceptional service and support for our refrigeration systems and accessories. This role is crucial in ensuring our clients receive the highest quality of service, contributing to our mission of excellence in temperature-controlled transportation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven experience as a Service Technician or similar role in transportation refrigeration, HVAC or similar trade.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
  • Hand tool experience is required.
  • Ozone Depletion Certificate is preferred.
  • Familiarity with schematics and technical drawings.
  • Strong understanding of industry Health and Safety Standards.
  • Excellent communication skills for client interactions.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time effectively.
  • Proficiency using MS Office and maintenance software.
  • Valid class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; bend, twist, reach, carry, push/pull, squat, stand and perform physical tasks safely as required.
  • Comfortable working in a non climate-controlled environment daily.
  • Willingness to be available for the afterhours on-call rotation for mobile service.
Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot, run diagnostics and perform installation, maintenance, and repair services of refrigeration systems and accessories for transportation trailers, containers and mobile cooling units.
  • Operate refrigeration equipment to test and recharge Freon systems.
  • Repair mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration systems, including testing for Freon leaks and replacing defective components. Repairs may include soldering, welding, repairing refrigeration leaks and more.
  • Read and interpret schematics and technical documentation.
  • Perform pre-trip inspections and routine maintenance, ensuring units function within specified parameters to maintain required cargo temperatures.
  • Provide excellent customer service while interacting with clients on-site.
  • Maintain accurate records of service calls, maintenance and repairs performed.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve service processes.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements.
  • This role is based in-shop, with occasional mobile service calls throughout the day. It is also included in the on-call rotation, for afterhours mobile service.
