Position Overview: We are currently seeking a Service Technician to maintain and repair petroleum service station equipment in a safe, efficient manner while adhering to industry standards and regulations. This is a hands-on, field-based role where you will work on a variety of equipment, ensuring functionality and compliance with safety standards.If you have a mechanical aptitude, enjoy troubleshooting, and are ready to contribute to a hardworking team, this is a great opportunity for you. Work Hours: Monday-Friday 7:30AM-4:00PM Key Responsibilities: Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on fuel dispensing equipment, including electronics, hydraulics, submersible pumps, and point-of-sale systems. Troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues, offering cost-effective solutions to ensure equipment reliability. Obtain and maintain required industry and manufacturer certifications. Safely operate and use battery-operated and power tools. Respond to after-hours emergency service requests on an on-call rotation, addressing site down or priority issues. Accurately complete necessary forms, including work orders, inventory logs, and checklists. Maintain a clean, organized service vehicle and inventory of repair parts. Communicate with customers, explaining issues and necessary repairs in a clear, professional manner. Take direction from supervisors to ensure work is performed safely and efficiently. Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age. High school diploma or equivalent. Valid and clean NYS Class driver’s license. Mechanical aptitude with the ability to use a variety of hand tools and power tools. Wayne and/or Verifone certification preferred, not required. Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting up to 50 pounds, working at heights, and bending, stooping, or reaching for extended periods. Comfortable working in tight spaces and all weather conditions. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and good eye-hand coordination. Proficiency in basic math and reading. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team. Compensation Hourly Pay Rate: $21/hr. - $23/hr., based on experience, skills, and certifications.
