Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, you will carry out service work in accordance with ABB’s work instructions and quality and safety guidelines. You will plan and carry out service assignments according to customer orders and expectations, ensuring excellent customer service. With your expertise, you will actively contribute to long-term customer loyalty by reacting flexibly to incidents or projects, communicating service processes clearly and implementing them successfully.
The work model for the role is: remote (#LI-Remote)
You will drive your company car directly from your home office to our customers and mainly support our customers in southern Germany and occasionally in neighboring countries.

Your main tasks:

  • You will carry out service and maintenance activities in the paper industry, in particular on quality and process control systems as well as drive systems.
  • You will support and advise our customers competently on all aspects of the ABB portfolio for the paper industry, including service and optimization.
  • You will handle service projects in close cooperation with the engineering department.
  • You will support our customers and develop improvement proposals to increase plant availability.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE

  • You have successfully completed training as a technician or master craftsman, ideally with a focus on electrical engineering, automation technology or a related field.
  • You have extensive experience in control engineering, general electrical engineering and physical knowledge in the field of sensor technology - preferably in paper technology.
  • You communicate fluently in German and English, both orally and in writing.
  • You are characterized by service orientation, initiative and a high degree of independence.
  • You are prepared to travel regularly in Germany and occasionally abroad and to be on call.
