Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Service Technician to join our team in Santa Clara. This dynamic role involves troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing advanced industrial equipment — including refrigeration and electrical systems — at customer sites across the West Coast.

Travel & Compensation Details

  • Approximately 30–50% travel will be involved, with trips out of state as needed.
  • Most travel will be by car, with occasional trips by plane as required.
  • Travel by plane typically involves week-long stays, which may extend up to two weeks for special projects. Otherwise, most travel will be day trips.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot electrical and refrigeration systems on-site at customer facilities.
  • Install, maintain, and repair industrial machines in accordance with factory specifications and quality standards.
  • Diagnose, repair, certify, and recalibrate equipment as needed.
  • Respond promptly to service calls and provide effective technical solutions.
  • Support fellow service representatives and customers with hands-on technical expertise.
  • Develop or modify machine-related software programs and systems.
  • Perform mechanical tasks, including assembly/disassembly, leveling, diagnostics, and repairs on automated equipment.
  • Perform electrical tasks, including control system troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Cosmetic copper brazing.
  • Collaborate with product development teams to establish test processes for new products.
  • Define system test and inspection requirements and assist with product design and development.
  • Conduct warranty troubleshooting and repairs as required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant service experience, preferably with industrial equipment.
  • Experience with chillers is required; cascade refrigeration experience is a plus.
  • Proficient in using diagnostic tools such as multimeters, power supplies, and logic analyzers.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, and software systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret industrial control panel schematics.
  • Good driving record and ability to travel throughout the West Coast region.
  • Strong computer skills and excellent phone communication abilities.
  • Commitment to safety standards at customer and manufacturing sites.
