Description We are seeking a skilled and motivated Service Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing surface preparation equipment at customer sites across the region and beyond. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, customer-focused, and comfortable with frequent travel. Service coverage for this role includes the South Region, with a strong focus on the DFW area and adjacent locations. Key Responsibilities Install, service, and troubleshoot surface preparation equipment at customer locations. Perform preventative maintenance and emergency repairs. Provide technical support and training to customers on equipment usage and care. Maintain accurate service records and documentation. Communicate effectively with customers, internal teams, and vendors. Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies. Order new parts for repairs as needed. Utilize Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel for creating and running reports. When not traveling, the technician is expected to work onsite at the Richardson, TX shop, focusing on equipment repairs, maintenance, and rebuilds. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree preferred. 2+ years of experience in mechanical, electrical, or industrial equipment service. Strong electrical skills including reading and understanding electrical drawings. Excellent communication and customer service abilities. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Willingness and ability to travel 50–75% of the time. Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license. Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job which includes bending, lifting heavy equipment and working in confined spaces. Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and customer needs.
