Description The focus is to support our customer in doing their job, helping them become efficient and effective on the job site. In this role you will repair and maintain Spectra Precision products, provide technical support to our distribution partners and customers, and conduct technical training. Primary Responsibilities Complete repairs of all Spectra Precision products within established repair times Read, understand and follow repair instructions, service guidelines and requirements for supporting and servicing Spectra Precision products Attendance, being in the office daily Clean products to meet cosmetic standards required for customer satisfaction Attend service training in both formal classroom and on the job bench training environment Accountable for documenting repairs, steps taken and quality assurance of repairs Documenting part numbers used and quantity consumed in repairs Facilitate instructor-led technical training courses Achieve established productivity matrices Requirements Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience 2+ years of experience as a technician in a relevant industry (i.e. electronic, mechanical, auto) 2 year technical degree or equivalent experience High school graduate Experience with diagnosing and repairing electromechanical devices Familiar with basic electric theory and electronic test equipment Strong organizational and communication skills Capability of understanding and following written guidelines and requirements for supporting and servicing Spectra Precision products Ability of working independently Computer competencies including the use of databases, support tools, the Microsoft Office Suites Knowledge of Salesforce.com a plus Phone skills, being able to explain repair steps or laser setup over the phone Experience conducting instructor-led technical training seminars
Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities involve completing repairs on all Spectra Precision products within established timeframes, providing technical support to distribution partners and customers, and conducting technical training courses. This role also requires strict adherence to repair instructions, documentation of all repair steps, and maintaining cosmetic standards for returned products.
