Description Overview Climate Systems is seeking a hands-on, motivated Service Turnkey Team Lead to supervise and guide our skilled service team. This role combines leadership, technical expertise, and active participation in projects to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate is a team-oriented leader who develops talent, enforces safety, and supports the success of every project from start to finish. Job Responsibilities: Expected to always represent yourself and Climate Systems in a professional manner. Actively recruit talent for our team on an ongoing basis. Retain Team members that align with Climate System’s core values and customer care expectations. Understand the disciplinary action process and when it is needed for your Team. Champion safe work environments and procedures holding them accountable. Assigning safety training modules as required to Team members that fail to follow safe work expectations. Asset management and inventory of all Climate Systems provided items. Annual performance reviews. On going skills assessments for your Team members recognizing areas of praise and coaching. Technical training needs for Team members. Promote soft skills development plans for each individual in areas of need. Ensuring daily paperwork and time entries are complete by Team members. Work as needed to ensure all aspects of the projects are completed professionally. Responsibility for managing and actively participating in all aspects of each Service Turnkey Project. Service Turnkey Projects retrofit & replacements of these types of systems and equipment: Rooftop Units DX Split Systems (Up to 25 Tons) Make up Air Units DOAS Units Mini Split Systems Exhaust Fans & Utility Fan Sets Gas Fired Heaters (independent and Inline Duct Mounted) Electric Duct Heaters Duct Mounted Heating Coils VVT Zone Dampers & Bypass Dampers VAV’s PIU’s Air Side Damper Assemblies (Outside Air, Return Air, Supply Ai& Fire / Smoke) CRAC Units (DX, Chilled Water & Closed Loop Dry Cooler) CRAH Water-Cooled Self-Contained Units (Up to 25 Tons) Small Chilled Water / Heating Coil AHU’s (Up to 30 Tons) Fan Coil Units Unit Ventilators Installation of new supplemental systems such as ductless mini splits, WSHPs and split systems. Once you receive notification of equipment arrival, validating each piece of equipment is free of shipping damages and is the equipment that was ordered per the submittal and PO issued. Assist with staging of the equipment and materials in the warehouse for all Service Turnkey jobs in an organized fashion that is labeled and easily identifiable. Responsibility for drawing up ductwork modifications, piping modifications, curb replacements or curb adaptors. Coordination of sheet metal fabrication with Climate System’s sheet metal shop, giving them ample time to meet the project timeline. Verification that what was requested to be fabricated is to be verified by you or your team once completion of sheet metal components has been notified. Coordination with customers for scheduling. Supervise and or perform the job from start to finish. Coordination of Inspections and you or your team meeting the inspector on site. Manage project profitability and educate your team on the scope of each project. Supply project closeouts, punch list and startup/O&M manuals. Review the project with the owner upon completion to be sure the customer is satisfied with the quality of the work executed. Complete all startup/warranty paperwork to be saved in Climate Systems files and submitted to the customer. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Requirements Experience & Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of experience in HVAC service, installation, or related field, with progressive leadership responsibilities. Proven experience leading and mentoring a technical team, including recruiting, training, and retaining talent. Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including rooftop units, split systems, ductless systems, CRAH/CRAC units, and related equipment. Demonstrated ability to maintain safe work environments and hold team members accountable for following safety procedures. Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required. Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset, able to represent the company professionally and ensure customer satisfaction.
