Position Title: Service Valet / Lot Attendant Job Code: SVT Department: Service Department Department #: 0233 Reports To: Service Manager FLSA Status: Non -Exempt Pay Structure: Hourly Rate Job Function: Service Support Base Hourly Range: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour     Position is Overtime Eligible  POSITION SUMMARY The Service Valet is a critical member of the Service Department, responsible for ensuring smooth and efficient vehicle flow, exceptional customer service, and professional representation of the dealership. As one of the first and last team members to interact with service customers, the Service Valet directly impacts the overall customer experience and operational efficiency of the department. This position requires reliability, punctuality, attention to detail, and professional appearance, including adherence to company uniform standards. The Service Valet supports technicians and advisors by transporting vehicles, maintaining an organized service lot, and assisting with customer vehicle delivery or pick-up.  PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES CUSTOMER SERVICE & VEHICLE HANDLING:  • Greet customers promptly, courteously, and professionally upon arrival.  • Assist customers with vehicle drop-off and pick-up, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience.  • Check in and check out loaner vehicles, verifying cleanliness, fuel level, and condition.  • Report any damage or fuel discrepancies immediately to the appropriate Service Advisor or Manager.  • Safely transport customer vehicles between the service drive, technician bays, and parking areas.  • Assist with local customer vehicle pick-up and delivery as requested.  • Deliver serviced vehicles to the appropriate area for customer pickup once repairs are complete.   LOT & VEHICLE ORGANIZATION:  • Maintain an organized, safe, and accessible service parking area for customers and employees.  • Park customer vehicles efficiently in designated locations, ensuring key and tag accuracy.  • Secure all vehicles and lock gates per dealership policy at the end of each day.  • Assist with internal vehicle movement between departments, storage lots, and other dealership facilities.  • Help maintain a clean, safe, and professional environment, including lot maintenance and snow removal as needed.   VEHICLE CARE & QUALITY ASSURANCE:  • Perform detailed vehicle check-in inspections, documenting mileage, condition, and any pre-existing damage.  • Install protective coverings such as seat covers, mirror tags, and floor mats before service begins.  • Wash and vacuum customer and loaner vehicles as directed to maintain a professional presentation.  • Conduct final vehicle checks before customer delivery to ensure cleanliness and repair completion.  • Report any concerns or quality issues immediately to management for prompt resolution.   PROFESSIONAL CONDUCT & SAFETY:  • Represent 24 Auto Group with professionalism, courtesy, and reliability at all times.  • Maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance and wear the designated company uniform.  • Arrive on time and remain dependable throughout each shift with minimal downtime.  • Stay alert and aware of surroundings, especially in areas with active vehicle movement.  • Adhere to all dealership safety policies, OSHA guidelines, and traffic regulations.  • Maintain a cooperative and team-oriented approach, assisting coworkers when needed.  • Perform other duties as assigned to support Service Department operations. QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:  • High school diploma or GED required.  • 1-5 years’ experience in an automotive, valet (sales or service valet) role preferred.  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.  • Ability to safely operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles of various sizes and brands.   SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:  • Highly reliable, punctual, and attentive to detail.  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-first attitude.  • Able to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced, high-traffic environment.  • Professional demeanor with strong emotional intelligence and teamwork mindset.  • Strong awareness of safety, surroundings, and dealership policies at all times.  • Must demonstrate pride in appearance and performance.   TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY:  • Familiar with vehicle movement and key tracking procedures within dealership operations.  • Ability to use digital tools or basic dealership software for vehicle documentation (training provided).  • Basic understanding of vehicle systems and safe handling practices. CERTIFICATES / LICENSES • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license & be insurable by 24 Auto group’s liability carrier. PHYSICAL DEMANDS • Medium Work: Requires frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting to 50 lbs.  • Continuous movement throughout the day with minimal downtime.  • Frequent vehicle entry and exit in varying weather conditions.  • Must always remain alert while working around moving vehicles in busy service areas.
