This position will be accountable for performing a variety of tasks to ensure a quality patient, resident, and visitor experience. You possess strong customer service, teamwork, the ability to work alone, and prioritizing skills. The successful candidate also has a patient-first approach and can follow oral and written instructions. Motor coordination and hand-eye coordination are needed, as is the ability to work in a fast-paced environment which may be stressful at times. In addition to a competitive rate of pay, AHS currently has a Remote Retention Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $3,000. This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay.
Description:

As a Service Worker I, you will be responsible for transporting patients (clients/residents) and equipment to and from different patient care areas within a hospital site. You will distribute and replenish hospital supplies throughout the units and clean equipment and patient care areas as directed. You may also transport lab specimens, blood and blood products, and patient charts. You will report any concerns regarding supplies and safety issues to Unit Managers and perform other duties as required.
