Your Opportunity:
This is a TFT position, up to 1 year. When Emergency Medical Services (EMS) jump to respond to an emergency, they must be prepared. That’s where you come in. Organized, methodical, and with meticulous attention to detail, you ensure that every aspect of the ambulance itself and the equipment on it is ready to go. As an Ambulance Readiness Attendant (ARA), you make certain that the cab, patient compartment, equipment and the vehicle itself is clean, checked and in good working order. As an ARA, you will use digital tools and checklists to ensure EMS staff are fully prepared. That means you will be required to complete and submit digital vehicle and equipment checks, discarding and replacing items with an expiry date, and restocking items as needed. You will be required to reposition ambulances within, and adjacent to, the Mega Station in which you are assigned. This newly developed position’s job duties may evolve as related roles and responsibilities are better understood once ongoing organizational experience is gained. ARA positions are available in Edmonton and Calgary. With outstanding urban amenities, the largest urban parkland in North America, and close proximity to national parks, both cities have much to offer. Choose the one that best suits you! Alberta Health Services is Canada’s first and largest province-wide, fully integrated health system, and has been named among Alberta’s Top 75 Employers and a top employer for young people and diversity. We offer endless opportunities for professional development as well as comprehensive benefits, including health and dental, to help you and your family thrive. This your opportunity to start your career with the largest health authority in Canada. Apply today!
