Description Purpose: Assist the service manager in maintaining accurate and on-time reports and records relative to the service department’s operation within the dealership. Responsibilities: o Fields internal and external customer inquiries to the Service Department o Opens work orders as directed by the Service Manager/Shop Foreman and maintains control until they are closed and invoiced o Maintains Service Department filing and records o Updates customer profiles using equipment, hours, or other information from the customer work orders o Open and close monthly work orders o Close all work orders in a timely manner o Manage employee time records, enter time off as needed o Bill parts to stock numbers as requested by Store Manger o Provide back up for telephones o Maintain workers compensation files and reports o Submits and tracks all service related warranties o Other duties as assigned Requirements Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge: o Basic knowledge of accounting practices o Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions o Knowledge of office procedures o General understanding of mechanical/technical terms is preferred o High School Diploma or equivalent experience
