Description A successful Service Writer assists the Service Manager, writes repair orders, maintains customer rapport and records. Coordinates with the Service Manager on job assignments to Service Technicians and communicates job status to customers. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Manage technician time clock for accurate reporting of time on repair orders. Open repair orders as needed for both internal and external customers. Assists Service Manager with customer request for service, both on the phone and in person. Assists Service Manager with warranty expirations. Assists Service Manager with the timely completion of all product improvement programs. Assists in maintaining customer equipment lists for accuracy. Reviews all completed repair orders for completeness and accuracy prior to service manager approval to be closed. Closes the repair orders once approved by Service Manager.
