Job Description Due to an internal promotion, our Macraes Open Pit workshop team are on the search for a Serviceman. This role will be responsible for safely and efficiently performing daily servicing (fueling and lubrication) and planned maintenance of all mining machinery and ancillary plant/equipment under control of the open pit maintenance workshop. Additionally, the successful applicant will display a high degree of professionalism and quality workmanship to ensure that cost effective maintenance and repairs are delivered. Key tasks and responsibilities: Maintain high levels of housekeeping of all facilities, equipment, and company vehicles. Apply Contamination Control methodologies for all work undertaken. Record and report usage of all components, parts, and other resources on work-order job cards. Planned maintenance (servicing) of all mining, ancillary and support plant. Provide assistance to the fleet maintenance technicians and other workshop personnel. Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) specified for equipment or tasks and be involved in the development and review/revision of procedures when required. Qualifications Full and Current Driver Licence, ability to drive manual vehicles is preferred. Previous experience in the servicing, repairs and maintenance of heavy machinery. Similar experience in an industry such as forestry, agriculture and road transport carrying out similar types of work will be considered. Previous experience with operating of heavy plant and equipment an advantage. Responsibilities
