JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Design and develop scalable software architectures that align with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Oversee the implementation of solutions using best practices in system architecture and design.
  • Ensure the integration of various systems and applications, focusing on microservices and RESTful APIs.
  • Conduct system administration tasks across multiple operating systems, including Windows, Linux, and UNIX.
  • Implement security measures to protect information assets and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Utilize cloud services such as AWS and Azure for deployment and management of applications.
  • Lead efforts in DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins and Git.
  • Manage databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, and Microsoft SQL Server for optimal performance.
  • Provide mentorship to junior developers and contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus.
  • Proven experience in service-oriented architecture, solution architecture, and systems engineering.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, and SQL.
  • Strong knowledge of NoSQL databases and relational database management systems (RDBMS).
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies like VMware and container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
  • Experience with networking concepts including DHCP, DNS, VPNs, firewalls, and load balancing.
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies and software development life cycle (SDLC).
  • Ability to write scripts using Bash (Unix shell) or other scripting languages for automation tasks.
  • Knowledge of information security principles and practices is essential.
