As a ServiceNow Quality Assurance (QA) Lead, you will own and elevate testing practices across the Now Platform, ensuring every enhancement is validated, reliable, and production-ready. You will establish robust test strategies, orchestrate end-to-end testing cycles, and embed audit-ready quality frameworks into platform delivery. Working cross-functionally, you will partner with developers, system administrators, and business stakeholders to ensure ServiceNow capabilities meet both technical specifications and real-world business needs. Here’s What You’ll Do: Serve as the QA owner for the ServiceNow platform, ensuring delivered solutions meet functional requirements, technical specifications, and quality standards Apply working knowledge of the Now Platform and internal ServiceNow applications to interpret, validate, and challenge technical designs and specifications Validate functionality built by developers and system administrators prior to promoting updates and configurations into production Create and maintain comprehensive test plans for platform enhancements, releases, and defect fixes, ensuring strong coverage and traceability Coordinate and oversee all testing activities, including unit testing, system and integration testing, regression testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) Lead customer and stakeholder testing activities, including development of UAT test plans, test cases, execution schedules, and results reporting Build and maintain a reusable library of test cases, including regression packs for high-impact workflows Manage the full defect lifecycle: document issues with clear reproduction steps, partner with delivery teams to prioritize fixes, and verify resolution prior to closure Partner with release and change stakeholders to ensure testing gates, quality controls, and promotion criteria are consistently applied Continuously improve QA standards, templates, and testing cadence to reduce defects, improve release confidence, and increase stakeholder trust Create, modify, and align ServiceNow standard operating procedures (SOPs) in partnership with ITSM process owners and stakeholders to support consistent, scalable, and well-governed processes Leverage modern tooling, including opportunities to integrate Generative AI into test design, defect analysis, and automation strategies to enhance quality outcomes and accelerate delivery The key Moderna Mindsets you’ll need to succeed in the role: We obsess over learning. Here’s What You’ll Need (Basic Qualifications) Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). 5+ years of QA/testing experience supporting enterprise platforms, SaaS applications, or workflow technologies. Demonstrated experience creating test strategies, test plans, test cases, and defect documentation. Experience coordinating testing across multiple teams and stakeholders, including UAT planning and execution. Strong ability to interpret technical requirements/specifications and validate outcomes against expected results. Excellent communication skills and a highly organized approach to quality controls, documentation, and follow-through. Proficiency in English (verbal and/or written) required due to global collaboration needs. Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table (Preferred Qualifications) Experience testing solutions on ServiceNow (ITSM, Service Catalog/Employee Center, Knowledge, CMDB, integrations, or related modules). Familiarity with Agile delivery practices and release cycles; comfortable working with user stories and acceptance criteria. Experience with test management tools and/or structured test documentation practices (e.g., Jira/Xray, Zephyr, ADO Test Plans, or equivalent). Experience validating integrations, workflows, notifications, security roles, and data quality across environments. Exposure to regulated industry expectations (biotech/pharma/healthcare) and comfort producing audit-ready testing artifacts.
