The Information Technology office is accepting applications for a Senior Business Systems Analyst to join the Administrative Systems Development unit. The Senior Business Systems Analyst supports the JCC Information Technology (IT) office and ServiceNow platform team. This role acts as a liaison between business and technical users, supporting the development initiatives in the ServiceNow SaaS platform; provides production support to team members and judicial council and entities for new modules and enhancements; and serves as an operations consultant to business and technical users to analyze and recommend efficient business processes. The Senior Business Systems Analyst works with all the stakeholders of the JCC ServiceNow system. This position works independently with minimal supervision and will lead on business application projects.
The Senior Business Systems Analyst works closely with the ServiceNow platform development and support team, ensuring prioritization, coordination, and completion of enhancements, providing continuity of functional solutions. This position also takes a lead role in maintaining that JCC ServiceNow software versions and patches are applied within one year of issue. In addition, this position also coordinates technical issues with the JCC platform support group and ServiceNow support groups to resolve any platform-related issues. The Senior Business Systems Analyst is responsible for creating application business and technical requirements documents and project plans; developing technical specifications, reviewing and updating specifications and test scripts for new technology deployments; coordinating activities with other IT units, business partners, court staff, and vendor partners; and providing maintenance and operations support. This role is responsible for the review and analysis of technology requests for new and existing ServiceNow modules and enhancements, and for identifying issues related to the development and maintenance of information technology systems that support business functions at the JCC and the courts. The Senior Business Systems Analyst ensures that the ServiceNow SharePoint Site has current content.
This Senior Business Systems Analyst will coordinate the development of, contribute to, and review system and user documentation and procedures; prepare JCC internal training courses (mostly virtual training with videos) for the ServiceNow user community. This role is also responsible for creating and monitoring the ServiceNow budget with all groups and approving ServiceNow invoice payments and managing ServiceNow contractors.
The ideal candidate would have familiarity with the ServiceNow SaaS platform, with ServiceNow Admin experience, and related ServiceNow certifications.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree and five (5) years of experience providing technical and business process support,
analysis, or project management for systems/applications.
Possession of a bachelor’s degree in a directly related field, such as computer science, management
information systems, etc., may be substituted for one of the years of required experience. An
additional four (4) years of professional experience as noted above may substitute for the bachelor’s
degree. Or, additional directly related experience and/or education may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
OR
One (1) year as a Business Systems Analyst with the Judicial Council of California or one (1) year of
experience performing the duties of a class comparable in the level of responsibility to that of a
Business Systems Analyst in a California superior court or California state-level government entity.
