Description Centennial Technologies is seeking a ServiceNow Senior Developer / Technical Lead to support the design, development, and implementation of ServiceNow solutions for federal clients. This role serves as a hands-on technical leader, responsible for guiding development efforts, ensuring best practices, and delivering scalable, high-quality ServiceNow capabilities. Unlike an Architect, this role is execution-focused, with responsibility for solution implementation, team guidance, and technical quality, rather than enterprise-wide architecture ownership. Requirements Lead the design and development of ServiceNow solutions across modules such as ITSM, ITOM, CSM, HRSD, or custom applications Translate business and functional requirements into technical solutions and platform configurations Serve as a technical lead for development teams, providing guidance, mentorship, and code reviews Develop and customize ServiceNow applications using: Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Policies, Client Scripts, Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, and Automation workflows Support integration efforts with external systems via REST/SOAP APIs, MID Server, and third-party tools Ensure adherence to ServiceNow best practices, coding standards, and platform governance Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, and backlog refinement Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across the platform Collaborate with architects and stakeholders to align solutions with overall platform strategy Support testing activities, including unit testing, system testing, and deployment validation Contribute to documentation, including technical design documents and implementation guides Required Qualifications 5–8+ years of experience in ServiceNow development and implementation Strong hands-on experience with: JavaScript, Glide API, ServiceNow scripting, Core ServiceNow modules, (ITSM required; others preferred) Experience developing custom applications and workflows on the ServiceNow platform Proven ability to lead development efforts or serve as a technical point of contact Experience with integrations (REST, SOAP, APIs, MID Server) Familiarity with Agile development methodologies Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Preferred Qualifications Experience with additional ServiceNow modules such as: ITOM, CSM, HRSD, SecOps, GRC Experience in federal or public sector environments Familiarity with platform upgrades, releases, and instance management Exposure to DevOps/DevSecOps practices within ServiceNow delivery Experience mentoring junior developers or leading small teams Certifications ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (required) ServiceNow Certified application Developer (preferred) Additional ServiceNow certifications (e.g., ITSM, ITOM, CSM) are a plus Clearance Requirements U.S. Citizenship required Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance Education Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience) Work Conditions Location: Hybrid – At least 4 days onsite in Tysons Corner, VA.
