WHAT YOU WILL DO: As the Software Asset Manager, you are responsible for delivering a white glove, consultative asset management service to our clients, ensuring visibility, accuracy, and optimization of Cisco hardware and software assets. Your work will ensure data accuracy and help optimize asset usage, while supporting proactive lifecycle management, regulatory compliance, and strategic infrastructure planning. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Establish and maintain a baseline inventory of Cisco assets Compare Cisco-sourced inventory with client and partner data Identify and correct misalignments in asset records. Ensure 100% service coverage for in-scope assets Serve as the designated Cisco Asset Manager (CAM) for assigned clients Conduct periodic business reviews with client stakeholders Provide insights and recommendations for contract consolidation and co-termination Maintain a comprehensive repository of client assets Support clients in making informed decisions regarding asset utilization, planning, and budgeting Help mitigate security and compliance risks through accurate asset tracking Identify assets nearing end-of-support or lacking coverage Collaborate with internal Cisco teams and external partners to ensure seamless service delivery Align asset management activities with client business outcomes Document and follow agreed-upon processes for moves, adds, changes, and deletions (MACDs) ESSENTIAL CRITERIA: 3+ years of experience in IT asset management, preferably with Cisco technologies Strong understanding of Cisco hardware/software lifecycle and support agreements Excellent analytical, communication, and client-facing skills Experience with inventory management tools and data reconciliation processes DESIRABLE CRITERIA: Familiarity with Cisco software and hardware services Experience in contract management and service coverage analysis Ability to interpret and act on asset data from multiple sources (Cisco databases, client files, network collectors) The EOS pay range for this job is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
