Job Description Summary This is a technical role that requires diverse skills to program (Java/C++). This role is embedded as part of a project team setting up and responsible for design, development and deployment of system integration for our Electricity Market Management System (MMS). Integration engineering is a cross-functional discipline centered on matching business needs and IT solutions brought about by evaluating clients’ existing systems providing a quality solution that meets their user needs. This discipline executes knowledge for the latest integration solutions, problem-solving methods and optimization of systems. We are looking for a Services Engineer - Market Management System (MMS) Integration. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of integration tools, utility protocols and business processes. You will work closely with internal teams, externals customers and Solution Providers (Partner/Integrators) to enable secure, efficient and reliable data flow and service continuity that meets mutually agreed acceptance criteria (e.g. quality, volume, timeliness). Job Description Essential Responsibilities Play a key role in system integration and data management, working with external customers, solution providers, project teams and engineering groups to deliver a MMS solution. Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable solutions to meet the agreed customer requirements. Plan and lead integration tests with external systems to verify that a system performs as intended and is documented in sufficient detail to support its projected lifecycle. Ensure secure integration architecture in line with industry regulations (e.g ISO 27001). Lead troubleshooting and resolution of integration issues through project implementation and production. Document integration flows, system interfaces and technical configurations. Coordinate with 3rd party vendors and consultants on system deployment and testing. Encourage and implement software best practices in the CI/CD. Work with customer throughout the CI/CD setup at customer side. Collaborate with Project Manager, Technical Manager and subsystem leads throughout the project to scope changes, communicate risks and opportunities, provide estimates, and execute the implementation and delivery while adhering to the change management process. Work in a self-directed fashion to proactively identify system problems, failures, and areas for improvement. Effectively apply standard execution methodologies and processes and leverage product capability, driving standardization, limiting customization, and maximizing reuse of content developed for previous solutions. Proactively share information across the team, to the right audience with the appropriate level of detail and timeliness. Required Qualifications and Experience Bachelor of Engineering in Engineering or Computer Science from a local and/or internationally recognised university. Essential to this role is at least 4 years experience in the capacity of software developer and/or software engineer. Experience as a full-stack developer for the Electricity Market Management System is key to the success of this role. Demonstrated ability to juggle two or more competing priorities to achieve an outcome. Courage to think on your feet to offer new ideas to improve and/or simplify a product or process to achieve customer outcomes You possess excellent communication skills to engage and interact with internal and external stakeholders. As GE Vernova is a global organization, working across different time zones, and monitoring, reading and responding to contact outside normal working hours can be expected.
