Description

The Faculty of Education at the University of Prince Edward Island has openings for sessional instructors to teach the following course in fall 2025. The offering of this course is conditional pending final enrolment numbers. All positions are subject to final budgetary and administrative approval.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The successful candidate will have a relevant Masters degree and school-based experience in a Canadian public K-12 system. Candidates must have experience working with an NGO and teacher education students in a developing country. Experience organizing international and indigenous placements for teacher education students, including preparing students for issues relating to pre-departure planning, immigration documents, health and/or vaccination requirements, safety and risk management, housing, language and culture considerations, and financial support is required. The successful candidate will have a track record of excellence in pre-service education in a post-secondary context.
Qualified candidates with seniority on the UPEI Faculty of Education’s Sessional Roster and the Faculty’s full-time and term contract faculty members will be given priority.
