The Werklund School of Education at the University of Calgary invites applications for term certain Sessional Instructor position for the term Fall 2025 in Educational Psychology. Sessional instructors will teach online and on campus graduate courses that are integral parts of the graduate programs in the Werklund School of Education. EDPS 654 - Understanding Mental Health in Children and Adolescents
Delivery: Online
Examines the field of cognitive neuroscience from an assessment framework. It explores the evolving understanding of neurobehavioural disorders and new testing techniques and practices now available to assess neuropsychological characteristics in both clinical and research settings.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Educational Psychology: Educational Psychology consists of Educational Studies in Counselling Psychology and in School and Applied Child Psychology.

Desired qualifications include:

  • A completed doctorate in psychology or a related field, registration as a psychologist.
  • Evidence of successful teaching and leadership experience in workplace, university or school settings.
  • Demonstrated experience in online/distance education for courses delivered online or in a blended format.
  • Capacity to work effectively in a collaborative culture.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the programs and specializations in Educational Psychology will also be considered as assets for the sessional teaching positions.
