DESCRIPTION

We are looking to employ a sessional Psychologist in an exciting role, which is an opportunity to provide psychological therapy to patients receiving outpatient treatment within our Private therapy services.
This role is Hybrid - applicants must live locally to the hospital address, as this role is face to face & virtual sessions across two of our outpatient service sites at Bristol Hospital and Park Clinic.
Bristol Park Clinic, near Bradley Stoke and Patchway, is easily accessible by car, bus, and train via the M4, M5, and Almondsbury Interchange. Just off the M32, Bristol Hospital is a Grade II listed building with free parking, offering 77 beds across seven wards. Services include Psychiatric Intensive Care (PICU), eating disorders treatment, acute care, rehabilitation, and recovery.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. As a Psychologist, you will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients

You will also;

  • Conduct in-depth psychological evaluations to inform evidence-based care pathways.
  • Deliver tailored therapeutic approaches and monitor progress to ensure effective outcomes.
  • Independently manage clinical decision-making across all stages of patient care, including planning and review.
  • Utilise a range of validated assessment tools to gather comprehensive information about clients’ needs and functioning.
  • Identify potential risks and develop appropriate strategies to promote safety and wellbeing.
