CONTRACT:

This is a permanent part time role covering sessions as below, however these shifts can be spilt over more than one worker.

Within the music team we are looking for a range of talented youth music workers to make up a team with a diverse set of skills and expertise, who are also passionate about working with young people. Ideally, you will have experience delivering one or more of the following:

  • Teaching and playing instruments (drums, guitar, piano, more),
  • Ensuring upkeep of instruments (tuning etc)
  • Use of recording studio equipment
  • Facilitating of engaging music based activitie
Responsibilities

Music is at the heart of Warrington Youth Zone’s offer to young people. Our music offer is wide ranging and includes a wide range of instruments in the room (acoustic & electric), recording multiple genres of music and creating music for external projects collaborating with other departments such as performing arts.
As a member of the music team, leading on the coaching and teaching of music, you will be key in ensuring young people have access to an exciting and creative music programme that will be challenging, stimulating, fun, engaging and developmental. You will be involved in teaching the fundamentals of a single, or range of music activities, enabling young people to explore their creativity and grow their skills.
