Salford Youth Service works with young people aged 10-25. The sessional youth worker role is to provide a range of services to young people to improve their health and education outcomes, to keep them safe and to ensure they have a voice.
The 3 sessional youth worker posts will support the full-time youth workers in their local area with face-to-face delivery of youth work with other part time staff and volunteers. Posts include posts working with LGBTQ+ young people and in youth centres in the central area of Salford.
The post-holder will deliver potentially deliver work in school, working with the detached youth work team and in the locality youth centres. Some sessions are daytimes, but most are evenings, typically 530-830 on weekday evenings, including Friday evenings.

Please be aware that this post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and that you will be required to meet the cost of the DBS check currently £49.50. The payment for this will be deducted from your first four months’ salary payments at a rate of £12.38 per month. If you do not commence employment for any reason but the DBS has been processed, you will be sent an invoice for the payment of £49.50.
