EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Some set build experience, working with custom builds as well as hire flats and a range of props.
  • Experience painting and understanding of scenic art.
  • Knowledge of workshop tools and equipment as well as a variety of power tools.
  • A good understanding of workshop health and safety standards.
  • Understanding of basic material usage within the industry.

SKILLS

  • Excellent organisation and time keeping skills are essential
  • Detail oriented
  • Excellent team player; the ability to work in a small team as well as working well with other departments.
  • Ability to work well under pressure or to tight deadlines
  • Driving licence required

Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW

You will work closely with Head of Studios and other set builders as well as our in-house production team to ensure builds are carried as per client requests and specifications. This role will also be responsible for ensuring materials and builds are produced to the highest quality standards. Creativity and craftsmanship are key to success. A clean driving licence is required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Construction and installation of Sets for our in house studios and well as location shoots.
  • Scenic work and painting of sets for a range of clients.
  • Painting of studio coves and potential use of scissor lifts.
  • Working closely with our in-house production team to ensure client briefs are met to the highest standards, working with set designers as well as following technical drawings.
  • Taking direction from Head of Studios and working closely with the in house lighting, digital and studio teams.
  • Understanding of sourcing and tracking costs of materials for each project.
  • Working with suppliers in sourcing and ordering materials.
