REQUIREMENTS:

Essential Skills

  • Proven experience as a setting out engineer with either a developer or main contractor
  • Proficient in the use of Auto CAD and operation of total stations and other surveying equipment

· Strong leadership skills
· Key eye for detail is essential
· Strong knowledge of Health & Safety Regulations
· Excellent communication and organisational skills
· Strong initiative, self-motivated and communication skills

Responsibilities
  • Carry out setting out works and other engineering principles
  • Providing support and information to both the project and contract management team as well as teams on the ground
  • Assist the site manager in managing the full project scope
  • Requesting technical information from both the design team and specialist sub contractors
  • Carry out QA checks, temporary works checks, temporary works coordination.
  • Assist in the over seining of Health & Safety policy on site
  • Assisting the site management team with ordering of materials and take offs
  • Look after other key materials on site such as steel reinforcement call off and submittals as well as scheduling these to site in a timely fashion
  • Conduct regular inspections to monitor quality, address defects, and ensure work aligns with project specifications.
  • Maintain detailed daily logs, prepare progress reports, and manage quality control documentation.
